Evidence

Any reason that one has for believing in an idea is evidence. Simply having evidence does not mean that an idea is epistemically justified, however. There needs to be a certain minimum level of evidence for it to be reasonable for one to accept an idea as truth. If evidence is lacking, then belief in an idea requires blind faith.
